NCP Career College is seeking an experienced LVN to teach in the Nursing Assistant Training Program ( CNA) .
Our goal is to assist the students in gaining knowledge and developing the essential skills and competencies that prepare them for entry-level employment in the healthcare system.
This is a part time /on call position. Weekday, weeknights and weekend schedules available !

Job Qualifications/ Requirements:
1. The applicant must hold a current California license as a VOCATIONAL NURSE
2. Applicant must have minimum of TWO years of nursing experience, at least one year of which must be in the provision of direct patient care in a long term nursing facility
3. Applicant must complete a course in teaching adults or experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides; OR must hold a DSD ( Director of Staff Development ) certificate.
The Instructor of the Nursing Assistant Training Program shall meet all the qualifications and must be approved by the Department of Public Health (DPH). In addition, this individual must have the ability to manage the assigned courses and clinical assignment, must be self-directed and able to work independently. This individual must also have good observational, nursing judgment, and communication skills. The instructor must function as a facilitator, teacher and resource person to the students. Writing and computer skills are necessary in this job.
